DRIVE TO WESTERN SERENGETI IN SEARCH FOR WILDBEESTS AND ZEBRAS MIGRATION TRYING TO CROSS THE GRUMETI RIVER
0700hrs: On this day the guests will have breakfast at the lodge and then drive to Western Serengeti National park in search for Wildebeests and Zebras migration.
Watching the river crossing in the Western Serengeti is an unforgettable experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. However, please do note that the Grumeti River crossing might not seem similar to what you must have seen in documentaries. Documentaries usually display Mara river crossings that take place in the north. While the Grumeti river crossing is dangerous and many animals lose their lives in the process, the river is not as deep or has the same strong flow as the Mara. This makes the crossing comparatively easier, so the event might not have that drama that you might have hoped for but rather an excellent and rare sighting.

A FULL DAY IN WESTERN SERENGETI IN SEARCH FOR THE GREAT MIGRATION
0700hrs: The guests will have a full day exploring this side of Serengeti National Park in search for wildebeests and Zebras Migration.
Seeing the enormous herds of the Great Migration making crossings of the Grumeti in June and July is an excellent reason to visit this part of the Serengeti. While these river crossings are less well known than the Mara River crossings to the north – where the river is more dangerous, wider and has more viewing points – the Grumeti River, which is the first big obstacle for the herds to tackle, still offers some exciting sightings, with the added benefit of fewer tourists at the crossing points.
SPECIAL NOTES: Optional Balloon Ride at an extra cost on this area.

The whole park of Serengeti is a world heritage site, and the varied eco-system coupled with the huge volume of wildlife means you can spend ample time in different locations and never feel like you’ve seen it all. From the dramatic Kopjes in the north, to the acacia dotted endless plains to the south, it is not just the animals which makes a safari in the Serengeti so remarkable. In a nutshell, it is rightly the most celebrated wildlife reserves in the world; there is nowhere else to match it. It is outstanding!

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot without forgetting a large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
